Big 12 Represented On 21 Of 30 NBA Rosters

When the National Basketball Association tips off its 2013-14 season on Tuesday night, 21 of the league’s 30 teams will have former Big 12 players on their roster.

As you might expect, nine-time Big 12 defending champion Kansas has the most former players in NBA rosters with 14 on 12 different teams. Next is Texas with eight, followed by Baylor with four, Oklahoma State with three, Kansas State with two and Oklahoma and Iowa State with one each.

The Oklahoma City Thunder, Denver Nuggets, Utah Jazz and Phoenix Suns each have three Big 12 players on their roster. In the case of Phoenix, the Morris twins, Markieff and Marcus, from Kansas are both playing for the Suns.
